My family celebrated my mother and my niece’s birthdays this past weekend. I made them both a cake–almond for Mom and chocolate for Halley.
I made the mistake of placing them both on the same board and trying to decorate from there. Slightly awkward.
And I technically haven’t “learned” the flowers/leaves yet. I was having trouble getting the leaves to point.
But here we go: ;-)

I love the beach. I love the beach in winter. I love the solitude and the beauty of the beach without tourists. I love the crashing waves and the joy that the ocean breeze brings. I love to sing along with the waves.
These are some of my favorite beach pictures. Most are at Sandbridge in Virginia Beach, some in the adjoining Wildlife Reserve, and a couple are from Nags Head.
