Disclaimer & LONG POST WARNING! (as I don’t often do them.)

This has been sitting in my drafts since September 1, as I did not do the project I initially meant to do for this. But I am posting it anyway (posting it with a slightly earlier date), with what I did do that week. Today’s edits are in purple.

I literally dream of adventure. What I mean is, most of my sleeping dreams are epic plot-driven dreams of struggle, triumph, sometimes romance, and always adventure. Evil dictators are thwarted, puzzles are solved, battles fought and true love found. Seriously. My dreams are awesome.

And that doesn’t even count the “day” dreams. The place before sleeping and after waking are the times when the stories run through my mind and seek out the logical paths that dreams ignore. Which is just as awesome, and helps me remember my sleeping dreams.

I say all this, because these are two words that I have seen constantly this week: Dream and Adventure.

After my summer Bible study, which read through Crazy Love & Forgotten God, both by Francis Chan, I’ve decided that I should always be reading at least a chapter a week of a similar book. Right now, I’ve begun Wild Goose Chase by Mark Batterson. And it’s all about the adventure of  following the Holy Spirit’s leading.

I have other devotionals that I use, one being a daily email from Proverbs 31 Ministries. I don’t read them every day, so I’ve got a back log I go through many times. But this week, I’ve read ones that talk about dreams. The little-girl-big-dreams that reality shelves. Funny, since i’ve been begging the Holy Spirit to give me the big impossible vision for He has for my life…

Anyway, as I was inspired earlier this week, I decided to try an art project that is grounded in what I’ve been learning about God this week. So that was a horribly long intro to this:
