So my friend Katie and I, both having Fridays off, have decided that Fridays for this summer are now known as “Fun Friday,” designated for a photo day unless otherwise noted.

This past FF, we drove down to NC and wandered some towns. Unfortunately, it was well over 90 degrees, so we kept close to the car and indoors.

This will be heavy on the photos, just a warning.

also found this guy creepy. the shading, lighting, and yes, the bird poo, all combined to make a creepy little eye.

the last fun little surprise of the day… frolicking (driving around randomly) on our way home, we found an old jail with stocks. awesome.

The weekend before last, I took my dad with me on a mini photo adventure. I really only say mini b/c I didn’t get too many exciting pics. :-( But it was a great time with my daddy. And we toured a historical building. Always good times, that.

I haven’t edited many of those shots yet, so not much to share from that. I did recently get a holga camera, which I used that weekend, so I’m waiting for the film to get developed.

this makes me happy inside.

Low key day. Just uploaded a few more flickr pics. Practiced roses this afternoon–I wanted to try black icing and some other store bought red. The red didn’t work, and the black I made too thin, but it ended up working well enough. Then I loaded the bag with alternating sections of blue & purple.

Went on a mini photo/dinner adventure with my dad in NC. Tomorrow is a full-fledged photo adventure afternoon. I haven’t decided where we’re going yet; I’ve got three destinations in mind. I figure I’ll wait and see how I feel when it’s time to go.
