…at the Zoo. I apparently spend an abnormal amount of time visiting zoos for a single person without children, but I love it. I do tend not to go in the summer very often as I detest the heat, but I’ve visited a couple times for a class project already this summer.
Anyway, here are my favorite shots from my latest visit, which included a few nice surprises (such as the tiny hedgehog tenrecs watching me take their picture instead of hiding in their little logs, or baby hyraxes—not sure what the plural is—or the lion hiding in a perfect photo spot) that made the venture worth my sweaty, blotchy, it’s-way-too-hot-outside face. Seriously. I look gross when I’m that hot.
Back from the rabbit trail…here are the pictures.

Not the cutest pic, but these guys are super adorable. Now I want a hedgehog. (They’re on top. Baby hyrax on the bottom. No fangs yet.)

You couldn’t see him from above unless you went to the corner of the viewing area through a cleft in the rocks. It was a perfect shooting spot.
So there are some new animal pics. I love them. What’s your favorite animal to visit at the zoo?
